HOW IT WORKS?

When injected into the fat beneath the chin, Kybella® permanently destroys fat cells. Your body's natural metabolism the processes the fat cleared from the treatment area. Once the fat cells are gone, you're left with a noticeable reduction in fullness under the chin.
Since everyone’s chin profile is different, the number of treatments varies from patient to patient. Your healthcare specialist will help determine how many treatment sessions you need based on the amount and distribution of your submental fat and your personal treatment goals. Each KYBELLA® treatment session is given at least 1 month apart, and you should not receive more than 6 treatments. In clinical studies, 59% of patients received 6 treatments.

WHO ARE THE BEST CANDIDATES FOR THIS PROCEDURE?​

The best candidates for Kybella are those that require fat removal from the specific area of fat located on the upper neck under the chin area. Candidates should be over 18 years old, have no chronic medical condition that may negate the procedure, have good skin and muscle tone, and require minimum tissue tightening in the area to be treated.
HOW LONG WITH THE FAT REDUCTION LAST?​
After your series of treatments the results are permanent. Fat cells removed from under the chin area with Kybella will not return.
HOW SOON WILL I SEE RESULTS?​
Initial results will usually be seen within a couple of weeks after treatment and patients will continue to see results up to a month after the initial injection. With each additional treatment patients will continue to see improvement.
ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?
The most common side effects following treatment may include some redness, bruising, tightness, or mild swelling which is normal and may last up to several weeks.
